new, New, NEW!

This location is shown only to members

Hello Everyone,

A big part of the reason I am enjoying our meetup group so much is that I get to learn a lot of new games that I didn't know existed. You would think that anyone with 2100 board games in their house would not be surprised by new games, but that is simply not true. I love learning new games and I like showing new games to others as well.

So with that in mind, the next meetup at our house will be all about the new. The games we'll play won't necessarily be ones that have just been released, but we'll be focusing on games that we haven't played yet. Hopefully everyone will have learned at least one new game by the end of the night and will be ready to have even more fun the next meetup playing that new game.

So please bring a game that you either haven't played yet or think would be new to someone else. As always, you don't have to bring games to our house if you don't want to. We have plenty and plenty we have not yet learned. So we'll have fun both picking out the new game and then playing it. Who knows what new game you'll learn? Who knows what fun you'll have?

See you soon.

Thanks to all for coming! Great to see new faces and it was fun learning some new games - including Can't Stop. And we also were reminded that games that look fun aren't always fun - Cindy and I tried an old game of ours, Shifty Gears - not so fun and pretty frustrating! Other games played - Ticket to Ride, Hey! That's My Fish, Apples to Apples, Guillotine.

I enjoyed learning to play a few new games. Can't Stop is simple and addictive.

A few no-shows, but it worked out fine. We had a couple of good tables going and I learned two new games, including Guillotine and (FINALLY!) Ticket to Ride. Looking forward to the next one.
