Super Board Game Party!!!!

Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church (map)

Selected By: Nadine Sehnert

Yes, it's once again time to hold the BIG game party! Here's the scoop:

You bring a potluck item and yourself, your family and all your friends. Mike and I supply a selection of 200-300 games for you to choose from! You come, you find a game and a group who wants to play the game and eat a little food too!

We had over 120 people attend our last big party on the coldest day in Feb! For those of you who came to the last one, we are ditching the wheel (but you still get to leave with a gift) and will be using the microphone to announce what games are starting. Kristi came up with a great idea to use those table number stands to put cards in to let everyone know what game is being played at what tables. Does anyone have access to a selection of table number stands??

This event is open to all ages and is great for families and singles - anyone who just wants to have a fun evening playing board\card games. Games will be age appropriate. Also, this event is open to all, not just meetup members - Mike and I started with friends and family a few years ago and it's grown considerably. This is a great time to bring your friends and family.

If you choose to bring your own games - please make sure you mark them well. This is one time when I wouldn't suggest you bring your own as there will be many many to choose from. If you have specific games you want us to bring, please list in your RSVP.

Thanks again to St Albert the Great Parish for lending us their basement social hall. Please use the doors on the west side of the church and come downstairs. Elevator access is at the door on the corner of 29th street and 32nd Ave - behind the statue. Parking is available in the lot across the street from the church and on the streets.

Also - if anyone is available to come early to set up tables please let me know. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks to those who also brought games and taught them. I think we all learned some new games. If you have any ratings on the games you played, post them in Messages. Thanks also to everyone who contributed to the pot luck. As always, a good variety and great food. Special thanks to my family who helped setup and clean up and provided LOTS of water!

Nice people, good food, fun games. Fun to play some familiar games and try out some new ones. It was helpful when people used the microphone to announce which games they were going to play. Hopefully more people will feel comfortable using this in the future.

Very well organized. The people who organized it were friendly, warm and inviting. Everyone seemed to have a good time. It was a great event for children, singles, elderly, men and women. I thought it was excellent.
