June 12 is National Get Outdoors Day (http://www.nationalge...) and to celebrate we of the Twin Cities Board Game community will venture from our regular indoor tables to play fun and fantastic board games out in nature. In addition to bringing our board games on an annual outdoors venture, we will also bring a few classic outdoor games as well.
Come one and come all to learn about all the new and amazingly fun board games out there or to just play some fun recreational games in the sun.
This event is listed on the official Open Field selection of the Walker Art Center page as well. You can find it here along with all details.
Note that this event will be held outdoors in a big grassy field. We will have enough tables and chairs to seat 36 but there will be a lot of open area. We will bring Bocci, croquet, as well as other outdoor games. Dress appropriately for the weather and don't forget sunscreen!
We will have an appearance by a local game designer we met at Chitag a few years ago. This is a game to be played outdoors on a lawn! Their game is called Kings Court and you can find out more at www.kingscourtgame.com
Just checked the radar....doesn't look dry for the immediate future. We will see how it goes.
Anyone coming feel free to bring your favorite outdoor games as well. We probably shouldn't play Jarts due to obvious dangerous reasons, but we can play a lot of outdoor games.
